Dr. Phillips is a board-certified endodontist.

Originally from Anoka, Dr. Phillips graduated with Academic Distinction from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2008. In 2009 he completed a General Practice Residency at the Fletcher Allen Hospital and Community Center in Burlington, Vermont. Dr. Phillips then pursued his dream by returning to Minnesota to complete his post-graduate residency in endodontics and earned a Masters degree in Dentistry. His research entitled "A Titration Model for Evaluating Calcium Hydroxide Removal Techniques" was published in the Journal of Applied Oral Science. Dr Phillips also completed externships in periodontology at Harvard University, endodontology at the University of Texas Health Science Center, and the Junior Commissioned Officer program with the Public Health Service.

Dr. Phillips is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a member of the College of Diplomates. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, and Minnesota Association of Endodontists. Dr. Phillips is the past secretary / treasurer and current vice president of the Northeastern District Dental Society (NEDDS). He is also a current NEDDS delegate to the Minnesota Dental Association and former chair of the NEDDS new dentist committee. He also formerly served as a member of the advisory board to the Lake Superior College Hygiene Program and is a former president (2017 – 2018) of the Minnesota Association of Endodontists.

Dr. Phillips strongly believes in the best interests of the patient. He is passionate about high-quality, patient-centered, comfortable care. His special interests in endodontics include guided tissue regeneration, endodontic microsurgical techniques, endodontic revascularization, and emergency care. As a student of the specialty, Dr. Phillips has a desire for continuing education and embraces technological advancements that enhance the delivery of quality dental care. He has interest and experience in lecturing and teaching other dental professionals in endodontics and related topics.

Dr. Phillips possesses a strong interest in charitable activities. He was honored to receive the MDA New Dentist Leadership Award in April 2019 and feels privileged to give back to the community. He has participated in both Mission of Mercy and Give Kids a Smile organizations. He is also working on a new giving project that focuses on oral hygiene for underserved people.

Dr. Phillips is joined by his wonderful wife Annie and daughters. Together they enjoy outdoor activities of our four seasons, music, reading, and volunteer service work. Dr. Phillips looks forward to the opportunity to serve the professional community and provide each patient with comfortable endodontic specialty care.
